1) The autoscheduler shopper lockout bug fix is now live.
Please note that all shopper lockouts are now blocking applications for the same location and same SURVEY (and not same location and ANY SURVEY for that entire CLIENT).
Prior to this, there was a minor bug in the Scheduler AutoProfile that was causing the “Lockout Shopper” function to block shoppers from the same location for ANY survey for the entire client (MORE RESTRICTIVE).
We have fixed this bug and restored the intended function, which was to block shoppers from the same location for that ONE particular survey (LESS RESTRICTIVE).
NOTE: We’ve received some feedback that this “bug” has actually become a “feature” to some schedulers who WANT shoppers to be temporarily blocked from applying for shops for ANY survey for an entire CLIENT. As a result, we’re currently working on making the Shopper Lockout switchable:
2) Upcoming shopper password reminder change: We are planning to change the way shoppers are reminded of forgotten SASSIE passwords.
Long, long ago when prehistoric shoppers roamed SASSIE, we designed a password reminder button to simply email shoppers their password in an effort to ease the support burden on MSPs.
However, shoppers and their technological aptitude have since evolved, and we think it’s time our password security practices did too. Our proposed change is to email the shopper a link to access a page to reset their password. This has the following advantages: Shoppers whose emails have been compromised: 1) Won’t have their current password revealed 2) Will notice upon their next login that their password has been changed Unless there is widespread objection to this proposal, we’ll implement this change in the next few months.
Best wishes,
